Delete your Makerble Account
To understand how your data is used on Makerble, please review the following:
There are two categories of user on Makerble - Makerble Marketplace users and Makerble Impact Platform users.
If you use Makerble Marketplace e.g. to find charitable projects to follow or support, Makerble is your Data Controller and you can request that we delete your data by completing this form. The process is as follows:
You complete the form
We contact you within 5 working days
You confirm your identity by logging into the Makerble Platform with your account details
We process the deletion
If you have made donations, records of your donation transactions need to be kept and will also be stored in Stripe, our payment provider. In this scenario your Makerble User Account will be deactivated and you will not receive further communication from Makerble.
If you have claimed UK Gift Aid on any of your donations, your donation records need to be kept
If you use Makerble Impact Platform, e.g. to run your nonprofit and report the difference your work makes, Makerble is the Data Processor. Your Makerble User Account will be linked to an Organisation and that Organisation is the Data Controller.
If you are the Contract Owner at an Organisation
If you want to end your organisation’s use of Makerble within the terms of your agreement, you can deactivate your organisation’s account by contacting [email protected]. Deactivation of your organisation’s account will mean that:
Users linked to your organisation will no longer be able to access any of your organisation’s information
Your organisation’s information is archived
In line with the Makerble Agreement with Data Controllers, your organisation’s data will exist in backups and cannot be removed from those backups
If you want to deactivate someone’s User Account, you can remove that user from your Organisation. Follow these steps to deactivate a User’s Account. This will prevent them from being able to login to your Makerble Platform, reset their password or access their User Account. Your organisation will have a history of what their User Account did before it was deactivated.
If you want to delete someone’s User Account, contact [email protected] as we will need to manually check their content ownership settings to make sure that deleting the User Account does not delete other data they created within your Organisation; and where this would happen, we will need you to provide a User Account to transfer ownership of that content to.
If you are a User linked to an Organisation
In this scenario your data is owned by the organisation and bound by that organisation’s Privacy Policy as well as any agreement you have with them that covers your work or volunteering for them. Due to the nature of your organisation’s work, they may be legally required to maintain records of all work done within the organisation, for several years. Contact your Organisation’s Admin to discuss deleting your information on Makerble. It is likely that your Organisation will deactivate your User Account rather than delete it.
