It’s time to scrap the sticky notes!

Relying on Paper & Spreadsheets is Risky

It’s normal to organise a new initiative on a spreadsheet, but as your team and number of participants grows, you start to see the limitations of relying on Excel sheets:

  • Data Security:

    • People’s details aren’t safe in spreadsheets - it’s far too easy to delete a cell, a row or even a column; or worse, edit a cell without realising and alter vital information or break a formula.

    • Because access is hard to control, it’s easy to fall below Data Protection standards such as GDPR.

  • No single source of truth:

    • Contact details are often duplicated across several tabs or versions of the same file which makes it hard to know which one is accurate when inconsistencies occur.
