Somerset West and Taunton Council run a volunteer-powered Employment Hubs programme that sees residents helping residents find employment.

Previously this programme was managed using spreadsheets, documents and Microsoft Outlook. Whilst this worked when the programme was in its infancy, it posed problems as the work scaled across the region.

The local authority are using Makerble to:

• Manage the job seekers in each local hub

• Store case notes of the support being provided to each job seeker

• Conduct surveys

• Produce reports outlining the volume of activity in each hub and the impact being achieved
