Plus Forth Valley are a Scottish charity that have been working with young people since 1988. Their challenge was that over lockdown, they found that their Microsoft Access database was breaking at the seams.

• There was no remote access: staff had to physically be in the office or use citrix to access the database

• Outcomes reporting was clunky

• Recording timesheets for sessional staff was time consuming

Plus Forth Valley began the process of choosing a new database.

• They worked with a pro bono IT & Data Security consultant to prepare their functional requirements and go out to vendors.

• We put together a proposal which outlined how Plus Forth Valley could use Makerble and where we could add some extra functionality which would enable them to take advantage of the easy-to-use social media inspired interface on Makerble whilst having all the functionality they required, for example, the ability to link timesheets to events and put staff on different pay scales.

• Log session attendance on-the-go using Makerble Mobile

• Report to funders

• Generate timesheet summaries for payroll
